Cyanogenmod 9 is an Ice Cream Sandwich based rom for Xperia play and other Xperias, but for the play it have the stock apps like the Get games app, the game launcher and touchpads working. (for some people not)
the rom is developed by team FreeXperia and runs on FreeXperia custom kernel, thanks for the effort and frequent update.
this will defiantly need an unlocked bootloader and for now it's for GSM no CDMA version yet, but check the date of this post, if you are reading this in the future then it might be a version for CDMA by now ;).
anyway I advice to check the original thread more often, and feel free to continue reading.
